had the very same problem with the new X5 crashing and freezing up after install and doing the SP1 Update...... I did an uninstall -reinstall and DID NOT do the UPDATE.. so still running version 15.0.0.183 the original version...
also dumped the ImageDB.db file in the X5 Database.. it creates another one automatically.... found that solution in the Corel Knowledgebase in Corel Support from older versions .. tried it in the past and solved other problems back then.. it w*rked now also you should find that file in C:\Users\your PC Name\AppData\Local\Corel PaintShop Pro\15.0\Database
not one problem encountered since... have had it since it first came out last month.. it is now as good as my old X4..
