I looked up lightingrumors.com a few minutes ago and the Viper has just been released .
However... I'm disappointed because (from what I've read in the above link) it's NOTa TTL trigger after all! I have no idea why it's classified as a TTL trigger when it seems to control Speedlites in manual mode but with the ability to remote control power of each group (there'smore info from Hähnel including a downloadable PDF leaflet ). Oh well, I was hoping for a cheap (and more reliable with Canon 580EX II Speedlites) alternative to the Pocket Wizard TT1/TT5.
Interestingly, in the same link (and more information here), Chinese manufacturer Pixel is about to release a TTL trigger called King II which, according to the specs, is indeed a true TTL trigger. Better wait and see before parting with any cash I say.
