d90 replacement?

Hi all,

My beloved d90 has been destroyed.  Im finally ready move on, but have been paying no attn to recent cameras from nikon.  My initial examinations have left me completely baffled.

What is the closest d90 replacement or next model up?

I have a mix of dx and fx glass, so that need not be decider.  Is this no longer a simple answer?
