You must jailbreak (which is highly recommended if you want to make use of every feature) and use symlinks as is described at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/tutorial-how-you-can-use-your-memory-card-appstore-apps-external-ipad-storage-memory . Then, you'll be able to access any directory from most AppStore apps on any card with both read and write access.
