Can firmware hacks change the shortcomings of the D600 or is it crippled by hardware?
Oct 10, 2012

I'm no hacker so obviously I'm not trying to do this but I was wondering if the D600 was crippled by hardware or by software? Seems if the D7000 can shoot up to 1/8000 then how could the D600 not be able to physically? Is the shutter cheaper and slower? Also seems like the fact that you can only bracket up to 3 exposures for HDR etc could be an easy fix in the software. I was just wondering if anyone knew the answers, thanks
