HP network laser (wired), attach to wireless network?
Oct 10, 2012

Hello smarter than I folks...

I just acquired an HPLaserJet 1320n that has built in wired networking. I would like to be able to use it across wireless network (4 computers XP and 7) w/o too much trouble... It looks like my best bet to do this on the cheap will be to use an old wireless router, turn it into an access point and go from there?

Caveats: modem/active wireless router are not attached to any computer and can't really be; want(need!) to do this free or cheap or I won't bother. I do have old routers including the standard it seems wrt54g cabling etc. Printer can go in close proximity to active router if need be, will just have to reclaim the cat's shelf space....

Any help is greatly appreciated; in the spirit of 'doing it my damn self' is this a good guide; or is there a better/easier way to do this?

TIA, Dennis
