I'm new here, but have been a visitor to the site for a long time. The review section is what lead me to purchase my Canon A710is, which I really like. Unfortunately, it is now starting to have some minor issues, which could turn major.
Once, the lens cover got stuck when I shut it off. So far, it's only done that once, but I'm wondering if it will start doing it more.
The camera gets "stuck" sometimes when shooting. It won't let me do anything until I turn it off. It seems to be "stuck" in the "busy" mode, but it really isn't doing anything.
I'm in a conundrum now. I like this camera, but really want one that shoots RAW format. I can do that with this camera by downloading the hack for it.
My husband said I could get a new camera, but I don't really know if I want to. This one does, other than not shoot RAW, all I want it to do, AND, I can get other lenses for it, so I'm thinking I could pay to have this one fixed and buy another lens or two.
Or, should I just get a new camera? If so, I would like something similar, but have it shoot RAW format. Interchangeable lenses would be good, too.
