The GRD III still serves me well and is a joy to use.
The GRD III is great and I still love my GRD I but Ricoh needs to use at least a 1" sensor for the next GRD since right now the GRDs don't have anything but the controls over the other compact cameras and this is not enough.
If they do steal someone's thunder (and I know who you mean) it would be fantastic and what I would hope to see from them but this might be a bit much to hope for.
