When I compare the X100 (with 23/2) to X-Pro1 with 18/2, I find them pretty equivalent, though I prefer shooting with the X-Pro1. (Better fit in my hands.)
Wow, that is surprising. From what I've read, the X100's lens is much better for flat field stuff. In fact, a few months back, I saw some 18/2 users claim that the X100's wide angle attachment was sharper across the frame than the 18/2.
