I made about a quarter of the shots with the EVF flipped up and holding the camera at my breast in order to get the optical axis lower, or for shooting from a prayer's bench. Although IQ of my A700 was much better I did the documentation of the gem collection in Vienna's 'Kunsthistorisches Museum' with the A2, because this was impossible without life view. And Sony's slt cams still lack remote control from a laptop via USB cable as it was possible with my old Dimages. You get the finder view and soft keys on the laptop screen and need not get the eye to the camera. But obviousely that was not Minolta's SLR team that came to Sony.
I found this to be a great advantage with my A2 at school halls. The more expensive DSLR shooters were shooting blind when made to sit down. I miss my A2 some times.
