X10 & X-S1 RAF (RAW) File pixel dimensions?
Oct 9, 2012

Hi X10 &/or X-S1 owners.

Just curious about something.

When i edit any RAF file from my S100FS in an editor like Raw Therapee for example, due to the arrangement of the SuperCCD VIII pixels, it interpolates UP from the 11.1mp 3880x2880 pixels to a whopping of 5465x4111 pixels, and due to the excellent resolving power of the lens, the RAF images still look damn sharp to work with.

I realise that the X10 & the X-S1 share the same CMOS as each other, but is there any unusual photosite arrangement on it,  OR, when you edit a full res RAF file is its maximum pixel res ALWAYS 4000x3000 pixels & never larger?

Just wondering

Cheers
