Calibrating iMac (Leopard 10.5.8)

hi guys,

First of all, I'm a PC user not a Mac user, who is trying to calibrate a friends monitor on his iMac, so go easy with any 'mac speak'!

I'm using a spyder Colour2express  with version 2.3 of the software and the monitor is a backlit lcd.

The calibration seems to run fine for the most part, however when it starts to test colour temperature everything goes wrong colour wise - in a very bad way!

I have tried to research this, and have discovered that iMacs running later versions of OSX e.g. Snow Leopard, Lion etc have problems using Spyder2express (version 2.3) because Rosetta isn't automatically installed. However, this shouldn't be a problem for Leopard 10.5.x because Rosetta is installed.

I have manually set the target white point to 2500k and also increased the gamma to 2.2 but this has had no realy effect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Matt
