How would you spend my $4000?

I just sold off my Nikon D700, four old metal prime lenses, an FM3A, and a film scanner.

I want something new(ish), more portable, and (eventually) flexible.

My favorite kinds of photos are informal portraits, landscape, and urban exploration.

Photography is my only creative hobby. I love to carry a camera with me all the time, but sometimes I like to go out on a dedicated photograph "adventure" (and hope to do this more often) with more serious gear. The iPhone just doesn't cut it.

I have NO brand loyalty.

Why is this so difficult?
