Dear DPreviewers Experts...
I'm planning to take some photos today (my son is playing soccer) and it is raining. Any tips to share about protecting the camera ? It is a light rain so I'm planning to be under an umbrella but I wonder if I need additional protection for the camera. I'm going to use either a 24-70L or 70-200L. Any suggestions to properly set white balance ? I'm planning to use a grey card as reference, but I wonder how well the 'cloud' settings would work in this case. Any thoughts ?
Thank s a bunch.
Hi
I had a 5D Mark III until last month. One of the reasons to sell it was the sealing issue. Yes, it is sealed against the environment, but how much.
I was standing in purring rain for about 10min. The top display showed moisture under the screen. A sign that the sealing was not perfect for the conditions. I shoot often in these conditions so a reliable sealing is key.
I would not expose it to rain, thats my recommendation. Kata Bags have a camera case where the 5D3 should fit.
Cheers
Martin
