Hyperbole is really not your friend, use him sparingly.
SLR still has benefits over SLT. I'd say a majority of even more tech-minded professionals and hardcore hobbyists would pick the flapping over the pellicle at this point.
I really think Sony is innovative and I applaud them for being a strong competitor but still I wouldnt buy the a99. But then again in all fairness we wont know until the A99 is out for long enough and real world testing on the field will show what it can do.
