I keep my fingers crossed. May be I should wait a bit longer. I have D700 after all and it is a great camera.
By the way, Futureshop was trying to decline my return. They said they wanted it in a brand new/factory condition so that they could re-sell it to other customers even though I have clearly told them that was a defective camera and should be shipped back to Nikon. So watch out for that if anybody is planning to get one from Futureshop.
Thank you for the heads up. This was my other option here actually. Won't go there then.
