My basic workflow revolves around Lightroom. Images are imported into Lightroom and go through initial adjustments on exposure, sharpness, contrast etc. and of course selection of what gets instantly thrown out.

Then usually for the images in the collections shown (links below)

I further adjust for the effect wanted, export to a filter (Nik filters are used, or photomatrix for HDR) then back to Lightroom for final adjustments, noise and contrast. and finally export to the desired format.
