Will the adapters from the 16mm f2.8 fit ...

... the new 16-50 ?

If they do, I imagine they would vignette at anything other than 16mm, but I have both the wide and fisheye left from my last NEX5 ownership (long story) and I haven't seen a 5R or 6 advertised with the older lenses.
