Definitely. It's normal. It shuts itself down if it's overheating. Just keep on shooting and ignore the heat.

A member of a different forum stated that his d800 doesn't get warm and I should have mine replaced.
Can anyone else contribute their experience?
This is normal. It happens with my D800 when I shoot continuously in LV.
