Using AF & MF lenses

I've been experimenting since sending this question. With the camera now set up for AF, fitting a manual focus lens causes the camera to complain and tell me to fit the lens correctly. So using "shoot w/o lens" is a requirement. However, since the settings always open directly at the last one used, I can get to "shoot w/o lens" quite quickly, and leave all other settings unchanged, and this seems to work OK, so I'll see how it goes.
