I stuck with my 20d for a relatively long time. When I upgraded to a 7D I realized very quickly that the new camera was going to keep me busy for a very long time.
I tend to think that now, lenses will attain "classic" status more than camera bodies. Especially with the way solder is now regulated such that many pieces of electronics will self-destruct in 10-20 or so years as the RoHS solder joints build crystals and short out.
I'd say the 10-20 EF-s could be a classic... the 17-40 is another.
