Probably not for a long time. Xenon flash tubes have far higher CRI and balanced output across the light spectrum. LEDs have very spiky output in certain parts of the spectrum.

As a consequence that causes problems if your subject just happens to be the same color as the spike. Others are simply not represented or photographed well under LED lighting.

Indeed, that would be an issue they would have to fix beforehand.

I'm open to new technologies, but only if they works better than the ones they're replacing.
