Canon 70-200mm F4 IS internal reflection problem.
Oct 7, 2012

Has anyone come across this before?  I do quite a bit of dusk and night photography, and whenever there are any point light sources such as street lights in the shot my brand new lens does this:

Internal reflections of the street lights at bottom right.

I had the camera shop I bought it (and my 60D) from send it to Canon for analysis, and they said the lens is okay and they could not repeat the problem. The camera shop said it is probably due to reflection off the sensor.

Neither my 15-85mm nor my 100mm macro IS do it.  Do I just have to get really good at cloning this rubbish out?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
