If you compare different Raw converters you can se that colors and nuances are different rendered and if color accuracy  is important a own profile generated by shooting a test target as qpcard makes it much easier.

Thanks Michael,

I just checked out  the pqcard web. Although absolute color accuracy is not essential to what I do, occasionally I run into color issues, especially with saturated, near primary color hues, or difficult lighting. If camera calibration can improve that even marginally, it is definitely something I want to look into.
