D700 Rubber Grip Replacement Question

Yes, the grip has the tape on it, same as the grip for the D200 did when I replaced it a few years back.

In the case of the D700, the lady at Nikon parts told me these additional pieces of double sided tape were needed. Like I said, they are very small. One piece is like 3mm x 5mm for example.
