FZ200 zoom display bar

I am new to this forum and find its great forum for Panasonic owners especially FZ200 users since its release.

I hope to get some answers to the following questions.

I have the NTSC version and the zoom display bar shows in imperial units i.e in feet when zooming in and out.

Can this be changed to display in metric units i.e in metres?

My firmware is version is 1.0.

Has there been any upgrade of the firmware?
