No lens attached--shutter is locked.

Help---I shoot with an A300 Sony and it has "locked up" on me. I get the message "No lens attached--shutter is locked". Even though I had it wrapped in plastic and in a baggie, the trip under Niagara Falls left it damp. Have I ruined my camera? Any suggestions?
