deleting large files

Thanks for your replies. It's a copy of the whole directory. 41 GB of stuff. Here's the path:

H:\My Pictures\My Pictures

I'm doubling the directory size and this has been going on for a while. It's when I backup my disk partition; it take incredible time, and this is why. It took me a while before I realized the deleted copy of the whole directory was back and being copied in my backup. I would notice it and delete it and then forget about it till the next backup. This is a manual backup. I just noticed that after looking at the partition a few times that the deleted directory was back.
