The Oly 45mm has spoiled me, and I don't like my Pany 20mm as much. Is the 25mm a better choice?

Both in my limited experience with the 20, and online reviews, the 20/1.7 is sharper in the corners only from f/1.7-f/2.2.

Reviews? Hmm. *One* online review. In the other, where the reviewer tried no less than six different copies of the 25/1.4 since he expected it to be THE best of the bunch, it was the other way around. The 20 showed better figures across the board.

What is one to take away from this?  A guy tested six PL 25 1.4's because he was so sure it would produce sharper images (what made him so sure?).  But then according to his numbers, they weren't sharper.  So do you trust the numbers, or your eye, when viewing a photograph?

The PL 25 gets wonderful reviews because, for whatever the reason and numbers be damned, it produces exceptionally pleasing images.

Professionals that actually use their cameras to take pics hold the PL in high regard.

From http://www.damianmcgillicuddy.com/about-damian/:  "the Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4... it really is a truly beautiful lens the circular aperture blade give it a beautiful creamy rendering."

From http://www.sansmirror.com/articles/system-guides/a-guide-to-m43.html: "[in M43] we have the equivalents of 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 90mm, and 150mm. Four of those primes are exceptional (12mm, 45mm, and 75mm Olympus, 25mm Panasonic), but all are good."

I've got the PL 25 and I love it.  It lives on my camera.
