Olympus 9-18mm IQ: Better than a kit lens?

I had considered the Pany 7-14, but after reading many posts here and elsewhere decided to save some money and focus on portability. Not disappointed. It works adequately for video (for a lens not optimized for video), focuses fast, and the colors are good.

Quite pleased with it - it filled an empty spot in my lens lineup.

Note: Used on an OM-D.
