How to make use of DXOmark data?
Oct 5, 2012

Just started to view DXOMark in some detail. I found that my camera, the G3, has a curious DR graph (maybe not so curious but I have not read other camera's graphs yet). At ISO160 there is a small advantage over higher ISO, then from about 200-400 the graph is essentially flat.

Can I interpret this as for DR purposes, I should keep the camera at 160 as much as possible. Then if this can no longer be maintained, just crank it up to 400 to gain speed or DoF, whichever factor is making sticking to 160 difficult?

Is there a way of programming the auto ISO function to do the above (I suspect not)?
