Which prime lens? 35mm 1.8 DX or 50mm 1.8g?

I had both, kept the 50. Granted, I now have a D600, but I stopped using the 35 way before I sold the DX system...

I found the 35mm 1.8 to have too much distortion for what it is, and the difference between them in fov wasn't that great. The 50mm had much nicer out of focus areas, and thinner dof .

My 35mm 1.8 needed also -15 focus  correction on the camera, where as the 50mm was spot on.
