The 18-55 was designed for the original NEX-3 and NEX-5. For their resolution 18-55 is probably a good lens. I personally think that that 18-55 is good for 5n too, but there might problems with 7.  But I like the small size of the Sigma 30mm compered with the 18-55, so the new 16-50 looks very tempting, just waiting for the reviews while saving money.
