I am a Fuji X-Pro1 and Sigma SD1M user.  While the SD1M isnt the same as the DP1M, I can speak for the quality of Foveon images vs those of the Fuji X-Pro1.

First off, these are completely different cameras meant for different applications, in my opinion.  The Sigma is a one trick pony, but it does that trick very, very, very well.  A Foveon at low ISO (100 to 400, tops) is superior to a similar shot from the X-Pro1.  Anything above ISO 400, then the Sigma will be destroyed by the Fuji.

One poster said that "shoot at iso 6400 and be prepared for a blood bath", but this doesn't make sense in the realm of landscape photography (unless you want to do astrophotography).

Just like the LL review, Foveons at ISO 100 has no peer.
