1 GB Microdrive Problem after Format

Just received the 1 GB Microdrive. Worked fine until I formatted the drive via the Casio setup.

Now it only shows 1 (high resolution) and 13 low resolution pictures to be available.

Reformatting doesn´t help.

Connecting the camera to the PC with USB leads to Windows blue screen and a neccessary reboot.

Connecting the drive via PCMCIA connector to a notebook also brings up the blue screen (but this may be wrong handling, I haven´t used PCMCIA until now).

German telephone support recommends to reformat with FDISK in FAT16 mode (??) via computer due to some known incompatiblities of the fomat routines in CF-II cameras.

My camera CASIO QV-3000EX (german model, no firmware update, probably V 1.000)

Anybody any idea?
