If you say it's too long, its means you have an idea of how long it should take and you get that idea by comparison with pictures made with some other type of camera.

In others words, you compare time treatment for a "normal" sensor picture with a Foveon treatment.

It sounds logical to me the Foveon needs more time, you bought it in the first place because of its excellent resolution, and that come to a price, more data to process, more time to do it.

It's the same for the writing time on to the card once you take a picture, I read this complain all the time about the Sigma, people are just inconsistent.
