D600 too expensive

When I sold my D2x I checked my shutter actuations, and realised that I had taken the equivalent of something like 500 rolls of film with it. Slide film used to cost me about £10,maybe a bit less in bulk, including processing so from that perspective, any DSLR can be considered cheap.

At the moment I think that despite recent price drops in the UK the D600 is still a bit too expensive when compared to the D800, but no doubt it will drop a bit more over time.
