Frustrations

Thanks for the advice, i'm pretty sure im going with this:
Nikon d5100
Nikon af-s 1.8f 35mm

Kit 18-105 f3.5-5.6 VR (generally good quality, suffers from distortion though)
OR

Sigma 18-50 f.2.8-4.5 OS (decent quality, also suffers from distortion, larger aperture though - very nice).

Sony a37
35mm 1.8f sal-something
only reason to buy sony would be to get stabilization on the prime.
