It is strange, and even though I got confirmation of my order from Adorama, I won't believe it until it actually ships.

For what it's worth, I also bought an NEX-7 a month ago. Now, to see the NEX-6 containing 99% of the features at a lower price with an awesome pancake lens included is a bit of a slap in the face. Do I blame Sony? Not really; again it's the risk we take.

I was tempted to buy one of the NEX cameras, but the NEX lenses are of poor quality and too big for a compact camera. The Nikon 1 system lenses are at least very sharp, according to the SLRgear.com reviews.

Sure hope the V-line of the 1 system continues, because I find the EVF a treat to use and makes the camera worth carrying over the J1/J2.

I agree. Using the rear LCD as a viewfinder while holding the camera out at arms length is just a lousy way to shoot.
