Probably not CA, but Purple Fringing, which is easily corrected in Lightroom 4 under Lens Correction section by advancing the "Defringe" setting to about "8".
There is also a "Remove Chromatic Aberration" checkbox.

I shoot some photos with bright light w/ 50D+ Canon 400mm f5.6L. However, they have a lot of chromatic aberration (purple mainly) in the white edges. I was trying to remove them with Digital Photo Professional, but when i check "chromatic aberration" and "color blur" boxs in "tune" nothing real happens. What I'm doing wrong? Isn't this lens compatible with DPP? Need to solve that.

Thank you guys!
