Tell me about it.
I love my 50 1.4G for the sharpness, but the speed really sucks compared to my older 50 1.8 AF-D with screw.

Both Nikon and Canon release camera firmware updates. I'd like to see Nikon offer a firmware update that allows focusing speed tuning for their butt-slow 50mm f/1.4G + f/1.8G and 85mm f/1.4G. Is the 85mm f/1.8G in the same league of silent but slow AF?
