D600 and the 24-120f4
Oct 2, 2012

I'm an advanced amateur photographer..I have had the pleasure and good fortune of owning some great cameras/lenses over the past 10-15 years..these include the D3S,D700,Leica M9 and X2,etc....my very favorite was the D3S with the 200mm 2.0...unfortunately bad arthritis forced me to sell that incredible combo a couple years ago.

I had a D800 for a week but frankly did not need all those megapixels being a non pro who prints normally no larger than 8x11.

I bought the D700 and its a classic but really wanted to be able to crop more than the 12 megapixels allowed.

So,when the D600 was introduced it sounded perfect for my needs...I already had the 24-120f4,the 16-35F4,the 1052.8VR,the 24G,the 300f4 and the 50mm 1.8D.

Last week I bought the 85 1.8g and its amazing and a very light combo with the D600

Two days ago I put the 24-120 on the D600 and now It's on the body 85% of the time...For me,this is simply the best combination overall I have ever owned when all things are considered....It just does it all.

So,I'm just simply sharing my thoughts...I do really love the D600.I have spent many hours learning all the little nuances and I have everything set up perfect for me.Im one very happy photographer.
