D600 Focus Points have disappeared. Help
Oct 2, 2012

Can any of you help me find my Focus Points?

They were showing up fine in the viewfinder until two days ago. I can't see them since!

I can't find those little red squares on my viewfinder. I simply don't see them. I can't tell where the camera is focusing. All I see is the grid illuminating in red when I half-press the release button. I tried reading the manual on "Focus" related chapters over and over but cannot find how to re-display the focus points that are disappeared!

When I set AF to Manual and click "info" i can see on the lcd screen, the focus points moving as I control them but I don't see it in the viewfinder as well. All I see is the grid.

My current settings are as follows:
a1 AF-C: Release
a2 AF-S: Focus
a3 Focus Tracking with lock-on: AF 3 (Normal)
a4 AF point illumination: ON
a5 Focus point wrap-around: ON
a6 Number of focus points: AF39
a7 Built-in AF-assist illuminator: ON

Nikon D600
