I have yet to venture out of the 3 picture 1 through 6ev that's built into the auto jpeg hdr, inspired to do it properly now

Thanks, Kaz! I have a tiny RRS plate attached to the bottom of the RX100. The camera, along with the traveler Gitzo tripod and the RRS BH-25 ballhead make for a fantastic lightweight system. The tiny camera is very stable on my tripod, and (as long as you use the timer function), there will be no motion blur when you press the shutter. You might get a bit of misregistration from shot to shot, but, as I mention in the original post, it's easily correctable in Photoshop using the auto align tool. A huge benefit of doing the bracketing manually is you can shoot everything in RAW and take full advantage of the large Sony dynamic range. I was pleasantly surprised to see how malleable the RX100 RAW files were.

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.
