X-Pro1 sensor in other cameras, possibly with Bayer pattern

What would happen if Fuji licensed the X-Pro1 sensor and Sony, Nikon or Canon used it in their mirrorless / DSLR?

Also, one thing I don't get is how the special pixel ordering helps lower the noise.

If someone took that same sensor with a Bayer pattern would it yield more noise, less noise or exactly the same?

I just don't get how the special pattern makes high ISO noise so good compared to so many other cameras.
