Enabling GPS/wi-fi on a camera like 5Dx

I see a lot of talk about the 6D's in-built GPS+Wifi capabilities, and cameras like 5Dx not supporting it (without expensive accessories), but can't one buy a geo supported eye-fi card like the Pro X2 listed here: http://amzn.to/QTkG6m? Any experiences with this?
