35 f2 D and 50 f1.8 on D600

I know this could go in either forum, but I haven't seen any threads on it either place:

Does anyone have an comments on how the older 35 and 50mm D lenses perform on the D600? Mainly in terms of image quality but also focus speed.

If I did decide on the D600 I'd probably be relying on those two lenses (and the 60mm macro G which I'm confident would be great) until I could afford a full frame normal range zoom.
