A Two-Lens kit for Travel Photography

where are you going?

14+45 = super compact kit, easy on the wallet, wide (but not too wide) plus tele
12+45 = still pretty compact but stronger wideangle (and much heavier price)

or sub 25 for 45 -- not as long but focal length more versatile.

whatever you do, take some kind of wideangle. (i wouldn't go with a 25+45 combo for example, or even 20+45.) in my experience, the impulse to capture scenes and surroundings becomes stronger when travelling than at home.
