ipf 6300 squealling problem

Hi everyone,

I'm new to dpreview and was wondering if anyone has had this problem with a ipf6300 or the like. When I use some non canon brand papers in sheet form my printer squeals at the start and finish of the print. Canon was not a help saying that non "approved" papers may not be compatible with the printer. These same "non compatible" papers work fine with the pro9500 mkii I have. The prints look fine but the noise is quite annoying. I'm probably the only person who runs cheaper sheet paper though one of these, but for what I do it is sometimes a necessity. Most of the time I print off of rolls that are very high quality and have no problems. Just wondering if I'm alone on this or is it a fairly common thing.
