The 17 not considered a "good" lens by people who read MTF charts only. Most people who actually shoot the lens feel differently.

I own both the 14 and 17 and like them both. The 14 produces quite a bit more CA on Olympus bodies that is very hard to correct in PP. In actual prints I don't see a noticeable difference in sharpness and tend to shoot my 17 much more than anything else because I prefer the focal length.

You will get a lot of people swearing that the 20 is the best bang for your buck and it's very sharp...

The Oly 45 is very very good.

A lens is a lot more than just MTF.

I would really buy the FL that you want to shoot and not worry about MTF. Back in the 60's Ansel Adams said that we had reached a point where all modern lenses were "good enough." Of course lenses that would have been good enough for Adams are not good enough for many internet photographers.

Is Olympus 17mm F2.8 a good lens?

Is it better or worse than Panasonice 14mm F2.5?

Thanks
